Pull-Back Circle
Pull-Back Circle
Solution
Displaying a Pull-Back Circle
The Go To Pull Back Circle button is available only when you have selected a chemical on the Hazard / Haz Mat tab of the PrePlan window. The chemical must also be associated with an isolation distance.
To create a pull-back circle:
Open a site PrePlan.
In the PrePlan window, open the Hazard tab.
Select a chemical with an associated isolation distance. The Go To Pull Back Circle icon becomes active.
In the PrePlan Toolbar, click the icon.
In the Select chemical message box, click the down arrow to select the appropriate chemical. Click OK.
The map opens and displays pull-back circles around the emergency site.
NOTE: The GEOCommand software calculates isolation distances based on site geometry points or polygons. The accuracy of these pull-back circles is dependent on, among other factors, the accuracy of the points or polygons. For information on using isolation distances, see the North American Emergency Response Guide (NAERG).
